Mercurial, the on-chain intelligence terminal

1. What Mercurial is

Mercurial is an information service operated by AssetShop ("we", "us"). It displays market, protocol, and (where enabled) wallet-level data sourced from third-party providers, together with clearly labeled illustrative sample data. Mercurial is not a broker, dealer, exchange, custodian, investment adviser, or money transmitter. Mercurial does not hold, transfer, or trade funds or digital assets in this version of the service, and nothing in it is an offer, recommendation, or solicitation to buy or sell any asset.

2. Accounts

You may use the free tier without an account. Paid tiers require an account created through our authentication provider. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement, provide accurate information, and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Paid tiers are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe, our payment processor; we never receive your full card number. Prices, taxes, and currency are shown at checkout. Where a free trial is offered, it is available once per account, its length is shown at checkout, and the first charge occurs when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. You may cancel at any time through the customer portal linked in your receipt; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and access continues until then. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; continued use after the change takes effect is acceptance.

4. Tier entitlements

What each tier includes is described on the Pricing and Data & Methodology pages. Some sections are shown as illustrative sample data until the corresponding data provider is connected; we do not represent a section as live until it is listed as live on the Data & Methodology page. Entitlements are enforced on our servers; any attempt to bypass them is a violation of these terms.

4a. Mercurial software license

Mercurial is software delivered to you to run on your own systems. It is licensed, not sold, for your personal use on wallets you control; you may not resell it, offer it as a service to others, or operate it on funds belonging to anyone else. It is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. You are solely responsible for every parameter you set, every transaction it sends from your wallet, every loss it incurs, and your own tax and regulatory obligations. We do not have access to your keys, wallet, or funds, we do not manage or advise on your trading, and we receive no share of your results. The subscription fee is the only charge. Your subscription includes updates; software you have downloaded remains usable after cancellation but receives no further updates.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: scrape, bulk-download, or redistribute data from the service; probe, overload, or attempt to bypass our authentication or servers; reverse engineer non-public parts of the service; use the service for any unlawful purpose or in any jurisdiction where its use is prohibited; or misrepresent the service's output as your own analysis or as investment advice to others.

6. Third-party data and services

Data is sourced from third parties (including CoinGecko, DeFiLlama, and, where enabled, wallet-intelligence providers) under their own terms. Your browser also connects directly to those providers, to Google (authentication, fonts), to Stripe (payments), and to the hosting gateway you use; each processes your connection under its own policies, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The service's design, code, text, and compilations are ours or our licensors'. Third-party data remains the property of its providers. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the service for your own informational purposes.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". Data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or restated by its providers. Regime labels, rankings, scores, and alerts are heuristics computed from that data and are not predictions. Sample sections are fictional and labeled as such. We make no warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. See the Risk Disclosure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or digital assets, arising from your use of or reliance on the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Termination and changes

You may stop using the service at any time. We may modify or discontinue the service, and may update these terms, with notice by email or on this page; material changes take effect 30 days after notice unless you object by closing your account.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and an authentication identifier, held by our authentication provider (Google Firebase) when you create an account. Nothing is collected for free-tier use without an account.
• Subscription data: your tier and subscription status, and a Stripe customer and subscription identifier. Payment card details are entered on Stripe's pages and processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
• Technical data: our servers log requests for paid data (including your account identifier, the section requested, and timing) to operate and secure the service.

What we do not do

• No analytics scripts, tracking pixels, advertising, or third-party trackers are included in this service.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
• We do not hold digital assets or wallet keys.

Connections your browser makes

Because Mercurial runs in your browser, it connects directly to: CoinGecko and DeFiLlama (market and protocol data), Google Fonts (typefaces), Google Firebase (sign-in, if you use it), Stripe (checkout, if you subscribe), our Cloud Functions on Google Cloud (paid data and checkout), and the web gateway through which you loaded the page. Each of these sees your IP address and request under its own privacy policy. We do not control those providers.

How we use data

To provide and secure the service, verify your tier, process subscriptions, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. We do not use your data to make automated decisions with legal effect.

Retention

Account and subscription records are kept while your account is active and for as long as needed afterwards for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Server request logs are retained for a limited period for security and then deleted or anonymized.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data, or export of it, by contacting us. Deleting your account ends any subscription. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we will honor applicable requests.

Security

Authentication and payments are handled by providers with their own security programs. Our servers verify a signed token on every request for paid data. No method is perfectly secure; keep your credentials private.

Children

The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

1. Not advice. Nothing in Mercurial is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. We do not know your circumstances.
2. Digital assets are volatile. Prices can move sharply and unpredictably. You can lose the entire value of a position.
3. Data limits. All figures come from third-party providers and may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, rate-limited, or restated. When a provider is unreachable, the affected section says so rather than showing stale data as current; when a refresh fails, it says it is showing the session's last successful load.
4. Heuristics, not predictions. Regime labels, runner and laggard rankings, divergence signals, and alerts are rules applied to current data. They describe what the data shows now. They do not forecast what happens next, and confidence in an observation is never confidence in an outcome.
5. Sample data is fictional. Sections labeled SAMPLE contain fabricated illustrations of the interface. No real wallet, fund, collection, or unlock is represented. They are not signals.
6. No custody, no execution. This version of Mercurial does not connect to wallets, hold assets, or execute transactions. If a trading capability is ever added, it would be non-custodial (signed by your own wallet), with all fees disclosed before you sign, and subject to separate terms and applicable law.
7. Regulatory change. Laws governing digital assets and related services are changing in many jurisdictions and may affect the availability or features of the service.
8. Your responsibility. Do your own research, consider independent professional advice, and never risk more than you can afford to lose. You are responsible for your own tax reporting.
