Six protections, on by default once an age under seventeen is given. A parent or guardian can adjust them here.

What this is, and what it is not.

Everything here runs in this browser and is stored on this device. A determined teenager can clear site data, open a private window, or use a different browser, and every limit resets. No browser-based tool anywhere can prevent that.

What it does is make the healthy path the default and the unhealthy path take deliberate effort. That is a real effect. It is not enforcement, and we will not describe it to you as if it were.

What each protection does

Two hours a day	Counts only time this tab is actually in front of you.
A pause every fifteen minutes	Interrupts continuous scrolling. It is a pause, not a stop.
Midnight to 6am	Access rests. Sleep matters more than anything here.
Weekdays 8am to 3pm	Notifications are silenced, not access. Interrupting a lesson is the harm; using a reference page during one is not.
Age assurance	Self-declared. Honest people answer honestly; this does not stop anyone who does not.
Guardian controls	A PIN stored as a digest on this device. It raises effort, it is not cryptography.
